Sandy Flower Club
The Art of Flower Arranging
Welcome to Sandy Flower Club!
Sandy Flower Club was founded in April 1976 by a group of local ladies, some of whom are still with the club today. It's aim, then and now, is to promote the art of flower arranging.
The club meets in the evening on the 2nd Monday in the month (except January and August) at the Conservative Bowls Club in Sandy. In addition to our regular members we welcome visitors who can pay £5.00 on the door. Most of the demonstrators are qualified to demonstrate through NAFAS (National Association of Flower Arrangement Society) which is a registered charity. Many are not just very fine flower arrangers, but wonderfully entertaining as well. If you choose to become a member of Sandy Flower Club, you will be an affiliated member of NAFAS as part of your membership subscription.
At each meeting you can buy raffle tickets to have a chance to win one of the wonderful arrangements or prizes and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee. We have an average of five demonstrators through the year and when we aren’t being entertained by a demonstrator we hold practical evenings. We also organise an annual outing to a garden or place of interest in June or July.
Each year we organise a Christmas demonstration in December which is held in the main Conservative Club Hall.
